Had I reviewed this place immediately after I stopped for lunch with my children it would have revived a 5/5. The service and surrounding on that occasion were impeccable and the food that followed lived up to expectations. I had a warm cous cous salad and my children both had the more child friendly (age 6&5) chicken nuggets and chips (from the children's menu).

This restaurant is situated in a converted old tram depot, with the decor themed around it's history. The food is good German fare, nothing fancy but large portions. Very popular with the locals but with the high ceiling even it was very busy when we went, it was not too noisy.

The service is slower than average and the staff is not very patient either.

This is a contemporary bar/eatery within a stones throw from Sud Banhof station. It has ample outdoor space for dinning and is equally complimented by the facilities inside. Frankfurter Pfanne consists of sausage , bacon, sauerkraut, pan fried potatoes. There was an delicious sauce strategically poured over the Pfanne, just enough to add another flavor dimension. I will definitely visit Depot 1899 again when I am in Frankfurt. Oh yeah, the waiter recommended the house beer, it did not disappoint and goes perfectly with this meal.
