The ARKEN Museum of Contemporary Art in Ishøj, Denmark, is proud to present Anish Kapoor — Unseen, the largest ever exhibition of the artist’s works in Scandinavia. The show opened on April 11th, 2024, and highlights the internationally renowned artist’s work across a majority of the museum’s vast galleries. In 2021, Spacon & X was commissioned to create the exhibition design for two of the coming four exhibition areas. Designmuseum Danmark chose in 2019 to close its doors and start a major renovation and redevelopment in order to secure the future of the museum's framework in their listed historic building. The reopening of the museum is part of manifesting the Danish design legacy, in a modernized take. Currently, designers around the world are working on solving some of our global challenges.

In the middle of the museum lies the oasis of The Museum Garden. Toilets are available on the ground floor and on the first floor. A disabled access toilet and a diapering area are available in the entrance hall. There are diapering areas in the toilets in the entrance hall, and breastfeeding is allowed everywhere in the museum. Photography is allowed at the museum, but the use of tripods, flash or extra lighting requires special permission. Commercial photo shoots at the museum also need a special permit.
